Zabriskie Point

Zabriskie Point is an area a few miles from the edge of Death Valley known for its colorful landscape created by erosion. From the viewpoint, the salt flats on the valley floor are visible in the distance. If you have some time (and like to hike) it is possible to climb some of the adjacent hills, or walk down amongst the dunes - one of the paths connects Zabriskie Point with Golden Canyon.

Directions

If you are entering Death Valley via 190, you will find Zabriskie Point after about 9 miles to your left. If you are starting at Furnace Creek, follow 190 for about 5 miles and Zabriskie Point will be to your right.
